This page and the ones that follow in this section can be of help if you're already running an AdWords™ campaign and want to improve your results.
If you don't have an AdWords™ account yet, get to the basics.
There's one thing to remember about running an AdWords™ campaign: that you have to be extremely well organized. You need to keep track of the money you spend, the click through rate, the ad's position, the competitors, the keywords efficiency, the money you make and who knows what else.
Start by setting your goal. Most probably, that is to increase your ROI. If we're wrong, then you probably don't need to read further.
But if we're right, you should know that you can achieve this in three steps:
First, Make Sure That Your Site Can Sell
How do you do that? You have to write better content. As you probably expect, this is easy to say and hard to do. A good tip in organising your content is to build each page around its own keyword, and its own goal. Read our article about landing pages that work.
Second, Write Better Ads
The secret of a good ad is actually how well it connects to your landing page. The one thing that creates this connection is the keyword, which links your traffic, ad and landing page. See how to write killer ads.
Third, Improve the Distribution of Your Ads
That takes two actions:
Target Your Ads Better
Better targeting means getting more clicks from people that are likely to buy from you, and less clicks from those who aren't really interested in your product. The last category does not bother you as long as you get clicks through SERP. But when you pay for clicks, the tire kickers are expensive. Here's an article on how to eliminate unproductive traffic.
Increase Your Ads Exposure
You can do this two ways: you either expand the list of good, productive keywords, or you get a better ad position. We suggest you should do both.
