Reported over at Search Engine Watch Forums, AdWords Now Allows Targeting Ads To Sections Of A Site. That is right, and I am not sure why I haven’t seen this before today. I mean, yesterday the InsideAdWords blogged about 25 cent CPMs for Site Targeting but no mention of such accuracy within site targeting. The Google Help section explains What are site sections?.
http://www.adwordshowtos.com/news/adwords-adsense-google-adwords-customers-to-target-specific-adsense-pages-not-just-sites.htmlneomedia.ro2005-10-24T13:34:54AdWords and AdSenseAdwords Adsense - Google AdWords Customers to Target Specific AdSense Pages (Not Just Sites)Adwords Tool - Traffic Junction Releases "Optimiser"

Traffic Junction , a leader in pay-for-performance marketing solutions, has introduced TJ Optimiser (TJO) , a complete web-based pay-per-click (PPC) management solution targeted at "affiliates/publishers" to manage, monitor and increase the returns on their PPC campaigns with Google AdWords. http://www.adwordshowtos.com/news/yahoo-adwords-introducing-yahoo-publisher-network.html

This isn’t exactly breaking news anymore. I decided a while ago that one of my first posts on this blog would be about Yahoo’s new publisher network. Unfortunately it took longer than I expected to get this blog up and going. I’m sure that by now many of you are already familiar with YPN, but I thought I’d go ahead with this anyway as its hard to find a bigger web publishing news story than Yahoo getting into the Ad Network game.
http://www.adwordshowtos.com/news/yahoo-adwords-introducing-yahoo-publisher-network.htmlneomedia.ro2005-10-24T13:13:32AdWords CompetitionYahoo Adwords - Introducing Yahoo Publisher NetworkWriting Adwords - Increase Your Google Quality Score
http://www.adwordshowtos.com/news/writing-adwords-increase-your-google-quality-score.html

Ever since Google introduced the Google Quality Score variable into their Adwords system Advertisers and PPC Account Managers have struggled with their accounts performing efficiently. When Google introduced the 'Quality Score' system it forced Adwords users to optimize their accounts so that its ads were most relevant to a users search. Thus, relevant ads increase the Click-Through-Rate (CTR) and more clicks increases the "bling" for Google. Supposedly, this is a win-win for both parties.
http://www.adwordshowtos.com/news/writing-adwords-increase-your-google-quality-score.htmlneomedia.ro2005-10-24T13:09:23AdWords MarketingWriting Adwords - Increase Your Google Quality ScoreAdwords Adsense - Google's "Advertise on This Site"

Google is testing “Advertise on this site” links on certain pages using Google AdSense. Clicking on the link (which is always positioned next to the actual AdSense ads) will take you to a special Google AdWords page reading “Advertise on example.com” (example.com being the domain the AdSense ad appeared on).
http://www.adwordshowtos.com/news/adwords-adsense-google-s-advertise-on-this-site.htmlneomedia.ro2005-10-24T12:57:29AdWords and AdSenseAdwords Adsense - Google's "Advertise on This Site"Adwords Marketing - More Transparency Needed On How AdWords Are Ranked?

Google Goes Las Vegas from Robert X. Cringely at PBS looks at the anecdote of someone who was paying $0.10 per ad to promote his site and then tried to test new ideas with a different site, coming away perplexed about why paying more for the second site generated LESS traffic. Are things rigged, Cringley asks?
http://www.adwordshowtos.com/news/adwords-marketing-more-transparency-needed-on-how-adwords-are-ranked.htmlneomedia.ro2005-10-24T12:48:22AdWords MarketingAdwords Marketing - More Transparency Needed On How AdWords Are Ranked?Adwords Api - Google Plans AdWords Commercial Developer Program

http://www.adwordshowtos.com/news/google-adwords-adwords-experiment-gone-wrong.html

This seems suspect for a number of reasons, but it's interesting to think about so we'll let the reader decide. Widely read PBS tech-author, Robert X. Cringely, outlines an experiment (one experiment, one reader, one website) that concludes Google AdWords punishes advertisers for dropping keyword bid amounts. But many remain unconvinced.
http://www.adwordshowtos.com/news/google-adwords-adwords-experiment-gone-wrong.htmlneomedia.ro2005-10-24T12:20:31AdWordsGoogle Adwords - AdWords Experiment Gone Wrong?
